Priorities
for Ward 2
Building on progress. Focused on the future.
Managing growth without losing what makes Lincoln special — my priorities for a stronger Lincoln.
Infrastructure must keep pace with development
New homes cannot come faster than roads, water, wastewater, stormwater, recreation and emergency services that can support them.
Housing needs to be attainable for more than just high-income buyers
We need greater housing diversity, including purpose-built rentals and different price points.
Protect Lincoln's character and agricultural identity
Growth shouldn't mean turning Lincoln into another generic urban municipality. We must balance growth with our communities and agricultural viability.
Traffic and transportation need to be planned before problems become a crisis
More residents means more vehicles. We need smart transportation planning, including support for expanded regional transit and a GO station/mobility hub.
Affordability has to remain front and center
Residents need to be able to afford to live here, while existing homeowners need confidence that municipal taxes and infrastructure costs are being responsibly managed.
