My name is John (JD) Pachereva. I believe this is an important election, one that requires we stay positive and help both our residents and business.

Over the last 34 years, I have been fortunate to be married to Melanie and we are parents to two children, Alec and Blair. I am before you again, asking for support to continue working on your behalf for another term. I have been a resident of Ward 2 my entire life, and reside in the Village Park survey – I care about Lincoln and am a passionate advocate for residents and the community at large. After 23 years on Lincoln Council, I understand how our municipality works, how decisions are made, and what it takes to turn resident's ideas into results. Municipal Government is the level of government closest to the people. The decisions we make affect your neighbourhoods, your families, your property taxes, and the services you rely on each and every day. As Lincoln continues to grow, we face important choices about affordability, responsible development, infrastructure, and protecting the character or our communities. Those choices require sound judgment, responsible financial management and a willingness to listen to residents.

Education & Career

John is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario with a B.A. degree in Geography and Geology. He also attended Carleton University and majored in Geography and Economics. After graduation, he worked in Ottawa for Statistics Canada as an Economist with the International Travel Section.

John's family owned the local IGA chains and he managed the Grimsby location as part of the family business for 30 years. He has also served as Past Executive Director of the Twenty Valley Tourism Association and currently works with Perfect Optical Inc. as a Territory Sales Manager.

Experience on Council

For 23 years, I've had the privilege of serving on Lincoln Council. That experience has taught me that being a Councillor isn't about having all the answers. It's about listening to residents, understanding the issues, asking the tough questions, and working to get results.

Our community needs experienced leadership that understands where we've come from, is willing to make difficult decisions, and is focused on where Lincoln needs to go next.
